Goldfish Andy...Stepping through the mirror...the journey begins...!
I am not used to being able to listen to a CD that is so diversely adventurous that I would let the telephone continue to ring, rather than turn down the music, and answer it. This self titled CD is indeed a deep musical adventure...not for those who's need of structure locks their interests in any particular genre. For the musically mature listener who will take ear of the multitude of influences shared with us in a fresh, yet developed and mature performance of not only flawless theory and writing talents, but massively strong instrumental skills! The amazing placement and tasteful use and execution of what I would define as "hooks" serve to pull the listener deeper into the experience. The "minimalistic, reigned in" feel of the instrumental structure makes me just wonder what this group would sound like if any of these three fine instrumentalists ever "opened up." The writing is SUPERB. The performance is TOP NOTCH. The studio production is good enough for ANY major artist's work! This collection has something for everyone, and everyone that listens to one tune on this masterpiece will be hooked. We're going to pipe this upstairs, and light the candles. Moments like this deserve music like this!

Roger, Bill, and Derek have hit this sucker out of the park! This work is an "all you can eat" instrumental throw down, with an organic quality that really pops out of the speakers because the entire performance was recorded live in just two sessions!!! AND they had the good sense to not apply MSG to the mix, so you get this fabulous burst of raw muscianship that is so rare in the microwaved GMO infested music market.
Best to buckle-up, because this journey will cover alot of ground... starting in the east with the highly delectable "not from around here", haven't had this much fun since Sgt. Pepper. Every track is delicious, but what was I most impressed with the infectous groove on "oddity", the rip tide found in "surf you", and the new stripped-down interpretation of "fresh lettuce" (from the completely AWESOME solo album by the same name from Roger Tiny Kohrs - a must addition to your shopping cart!!!). This band is the real deal, BUY THE ALBUM NOW and make every effort to check them out live (romour has it that they play some killer classic rock covers in their live sets). Enuf said, buy the album
