ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Gomer Hendrix band has finished it's debute CD entitled "What, Me Experienced?" This nine song release is full of fun, eclectic, satirical tunes that will have you singing along. One bay area music critic says, "A fun 80's ska band sound with lots of humor!"

Oingo Boingo and Frank Zappa were a big inspiration to this band. Gomer's guitar style is a mix of Steve Vai, Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, and Frank Zappa. Steve Morse is also a favorite player. One of Gomer's outstanding solos can be heard on "Bumblin' Idiots" and "Sex".

The Gomer Hendrix band has been around since 1998 playing bars and various private parties around the San Francisco bay area. The band is also known for being a party dance band. The eclectic grooves on their original music CD are extensive. The band loves doing private parties most of all, and can also cover a wide range of material. Talented Guy
Definitely check out Gomer at a live show.

Incredibly Versatile Drummer
The drummer on this CD is incredibly versatile with a groove that is 8 miles high as well as 10,000 fathoms deep. Gomer's tunes cover a variety of genres and he was blessed to have a cat like this playing on the session. The bass, drums and Gome's rhythm guitar are so intertwined and in sync, it just grooves for time eternal. These guys are happening!

Leaves you wanting to hear more
Every chance I get, I see Gomer and his band live.. They never fail to get a crowd up dancing on thier feet. This guy is so good, any song souted out, he can play it and add his flair of great guitar playing.

For a fresh, fun and darn right down great feeling, any of his cds are great as gifts to yourself, or your friends and family looking for something a bit on the wonderful and crazy side.

Amusing lighthearted entertainment
Upon hearing a medley of the tunes from the CD I initially tagged it as a prank. The often lively lyrics and beat were understated in the offerings. After enjoying some full versions at CD Baby I reprise my original opinion and confess a curiousity about the remaining unheard tracks. Gomer Hendrix has fresh fun sound, ranging from a thoughtful blues tone to finger snapping brattiness.
