Album Notes

"My Microphone" is here!
The eagerly anticipated new album from Brooklyn's illest purveyors of Punk-Pop Hip-Hop has indeed arrived. It's release on May 1st 2008 will be accompanied by extensive touring and promotion including a date at Bamboozle on May 3 with many more shows to come. In recent weeks, the boys were featured on Fearless TV, aired on FOX 5 in NYC and all over the US. Their music has also been heard on MTV's Pimp My Ride. The band is currently in talks with a reality TV show and booking a summer tour. Stay tuned!

BIO:
That dread-locked dude who used to man the sound-board at CBGB's once called Brooklyn's gONNA gET gOT "new wave hip-hop. "
Another scenester in the house called them "punk-rap."
Now if you're anything like the band-members themselves, any sort of musical description involving a mash-up of rap with white-boy styles has made you run for the hills.
But fear not. This sh*t is actually good!
However you choose to describe it, GGG's unlikely collision of sound is providing sustenance to that peculiar strain of music fan out there looking for something different. From Goth fans to punk-rockers, hip-hop heads to dead-heads, teen-age girls to MILFs and beyond... gONNA gET gOT's appeal crosses boundary after boundary.
Rising up from the ashes of the O (formerly signed to NYC underground giants' Mindless Self Indulgence's personal Uppity Cracker label, as well as several different majors in the UK) , GGG's music has already spat forth from thousands of glowing TV screen's during MTV's Pimp My Ride as well as on the nationally syndicated cult-music show Fearless TV. Legendary NYC punk-makeup icon Manic Panic is one of several past sponsors. Finally, rapper Trip Jeezy remains New York's only front man to be ejected from Joe's Pub while performing.
Their sophmore LP, the poppy and personal My Microphone, is dropping May 1st, and the teaser single, The Girl Ain't Ready, already has their growing legion of fans salivating with glee. With heavy regional touring being planned, gONNA gET gOT will be conquering the MySpace masses in no time.

The Tripla's Rhymes Are Outta Control!!

The man himself, Triple G, greatly spits flows of experiences from trying to pick-up girls, to insane dreams, and all with a rough end with a final song about suicidal tendencies. My Microphone blows other albums out of the water. The experimentation of this punk rock, hip-hop clash overflows with creativity and is truly an album to buy. Check out this band and catch up with them on their tour soon! gONNA gET gOT is definitely the proper heir to the O, so if you liked them, you are GONNA love G's personal side of things.

I work at Hot Topic and I've a very open mind when it comes to music. I heard it on our play list and thought it was amazing because they combined pop punk with hip hop is a very original fashion. This album gets me pumpt in a happy way. I love listen to it when I need a pink me up!
