To wake up in the middle of the night with new melodies and songs running through my mind, not just once, but more than 100 times over a two-year period. What an awesome experience!

Marilyn has received over 150 songs, totally complete, many of which reflect the true gospel as revealed in the Holy Bible. Others seem to speak of life’s experiences.

Having received these songs, Marilyn knew they should be shared. God’s gifts are to be shared! These original songs, sung from the heart in bluegrass-gospel style, are accompanied by acoustic guitar, dobro, mandolin and upright bass.

These songs have something to tell and Marilyn and her husband, Gary Deeds known as “The Good Deeds” are committed to sharing them wherever their music ministry takes them. Traveling six months of the year, they share their songs at churches, gospel jamborees, festivals, retirement homes, convalescent hospitals, RV parks, state parks and national parks. It brings them great joy knowing they have ministered to someone through their gospel music.

Songs from Marilyn’s Heart will touch your heart. Here is a mix of up-tempo and contemplative songs with encouraging messages: from Get Behind Me Satan (an up-tempo song to help us “kick Satan out”) to Thank You God (a moving song giving thanks to God for His many blessings).

Listen to the song, I’ll Climb that Mountain. It has not only been an encouragement to “The Good Deeds” but is bringing hope and encouragement to those who are hospitalized or hurting. You cannot listen without feeling God’s love.
