Gooding never disappoints!

From the cover illustration to the contents of the disc this is far and away my favorite work from Gooding. I've been a fan ever since I saw them live in Wichita, and this, so far, has been the culminating work. If the next one is like Angel/Devil, I can't wait.

Saw 'em live; bought the cd; loved both!

I hadn't even heard of this band until I saw them in concert in Tulsa this year. The guitar playing just completely blew my away. And it wasn't some abnoxious jam band guitar playing, this had attitude and originality. Angels/Devils shows off the great guitar playing that is
evident in the live form starting with the song "Little America". It's rare that a band with as much technical ability can still write some great songs, but this album is load with great songwriting, which is my main draw for liking a band. The songs "Harm's Way" and "Living In A
Land Of Make Believe" run the gamut of the type of sounds you'll hear on this disc, from simple soulful balads to raunchy guitar ridden rockers.

Killer, killer stuff. Why isn't this guy bigger?

I saw the band at Off Broadway in St. Louis, where they did very well. I checked out the tunes from this disc online, and was dazzled -- awesome stuff. Aside from the great guitar work and solid bass and drums, it was produced perfectly given the rough and gutteral sound of the songs. But the more acoustic songs and his voice were given special treatment and really shine through as well. I can't get this disc out of my CD player -- it's that good. Buy it. Now. Do it.
