Thanks to a low budget camcorder and friends across the country sending in bootlegs of some blistering live shows, one of the hardest-working indie rock bands in America, GOODING, offers a behind-the-scenes look at the band as they criss-cross their way through the Midwest and West Coast as part of the 2002 "Life Itself" and 2003 "Soldiermaking" tours. Working virtually non-stop without major label support or corporate sponsors, the band invites you to step inside their van, visit them backstage, and hang out in dressing rooms and motels across "Little America."

A "MUST HAVE" for all gooding fans

I was at the taping of the Loft 150 show, and have since been anxiously awaiting the release of he DVD. The wait was worth it! What a great look at what our favorite band has gone through, done and seen. The extras of the Factory Blue concert footage make this a must see all by themselves. By no means is this a great way to introduce newcomers to Gooding. Of course it was never meant to be one. It rather feels like a big "THANK YOU" to all of the fans who have long supported this amazing band.

The Video Debut

The thing that is great about this DVD is that it shows the progress of the tour in general, what improves, what tends to wear on you, and how much they appreciate the music they create and the people who appreciate them interpreting their love for it for whoever wants to hear. This is true to the bone for a documentary on a band's tour. And if you know the guys, pretty funny too.
