Gorgeous
author: Richard Parsons
This is such a beautiful album that more people need to hear. I can relate to the passion put into it having had a similar 10 day experience recording my album Until The Sun Dies. There's something irreplaceable about capturing the moment so honestly.

Still sweet...
author: muziclady_luv
I put Ojai on the shelf for awhile, & had a romantic whirl of sorts ~
I recently heard that The Good Listeners were coming back to Portland {how nice :} Suddenly 'my heart opened' to a new tune~ I started listening 'with my heart', so I put the textbooks away -I smiled. Of course~ I got a little mushy & melted {like it was yesterday}*{for a moment} +++ anyway***** {My thoughts are allowed} & your haircut is needed++
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I asked myself ++Why??Maybe?? Also? ++ And ++ it very well could be?? ~La-ti-da~ that I 'sometimes reminisce'about the early 90's ~&~ era of 'Tales Untold' shows,& so forth. And my 'hearts' countless moments of resist, yet falling into love+ {i guess with love} ~Yet still lingering with a sensational warmth & sweet tingle of romantic glow....
~love songs~
+THE VERY BEST+

I just loved the gentleness of it
author: Annette Erdtsieck
I couldn't classify this genre but it was easy listening and unusual. Reminding me a little of the "Revolver" music by the beatles, without too much of the psychedelia.. Sweet voices with different sounds all round..
Totally absorbing music which I enjoyed very much!

Good Listeners Live
author: Brian L
Even more impressive than their music itself is how The Good Listeners perform live. I saw them at Tangier restaurant in Hollywood a few weeks ago, and was blown away by their approach to multi-layered live performance. They use looping capability to record live instrumental, percussion and vocal grooves, which then play back while they add more layers. They played most of the songs from Ojai, but then they played an amazing version of the Kinks song Waterloo Sunset, where they first sing the backup vocal parts during the initial layering of tracks. Then, when they get to the point in the song when these vocals kick in, they mesh beautifully with Nathan's lead vocal on the song.
They also play wonderful Koyaanasqatsi-esque videos during their performance on a screen behind the stage.
