Album Notes

In Glory, Glory, Mark Eliott takes Good Morning Fog in a new direction, while still managing to continue from where High Times left off. Rather than making it another indie folk record, I made it an all electric, Americana tinged, indie rock record.
He greatly expanded the sonic borders of his style, from the grand, chamber pop indie rock of the opener “She Is Method Acting” to the end. It features a stark, beautiful cover of Cat Power’s “Hate” and even a full-fledged indie garage rock song “Ghost”. Among the highlights is “Horsemen”, a gorgeous psychedelic guitar/piano ballad.
The record prominently features electronic percussion, a string section, piano, bass etc. It at times sounds as if he has a backing band, but it’s all done by just himself. At just over an hour long, it's the perfect length, not too long but not too short.
Highly recomended for fans of Tom Waits, Cat Power, Leonard Cohen, Smog and Elliott Smith.
