Album Notes
Fronted by two female singer/songwriters, Goodnight Tiger explore low-fi lullaby to energetic and intelligent pop music. Since their humble beginning as a female duo in 2009, this now four-piece band's ultimately intriguing and solid songwriting has earned them accolade from the West Australian music industry. They were nominated by professionals in the 2010 West Australian Music Industry awards (WAMIs) as Best Newcomer and as best Indie-Pop act in the 2011 WAMIs. Goodnight Tiger also received first place in Ampfest 2010 (a competition won by Tame Impala only a few years prior), and performed at Southbound Festival 2011, sharing a stage with the likes of The National and Interpol.

'Not Getting Married' showcases the spectrum of Goodnight Tiger's sound; debut single 'Jump Down' is an instantly infectious and feel-good tune. Jill Chrisps' strong vocals, Mat Marsh's thoughtful and dynamic drumming style and Bex Chilcott's pulsating, toe-tapping bass line ensure 'Jump Down' resonates in your head for days. Closing song 'It Wasn't You' is a sweet, building track with dark undertones that exemplifies their more intimate side; this song features Perrin Date on lead vocals and American singer/songwriter and nominee in the 2006 Rolling Stone 'New Guitar Gods' list Kaki King as a guest musician on lap steel.
