ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Learn Speech Level Singing, the technique that has assisted over 100 Grammy Award winners, countless Broadway performers and internationally known Opera singers!

The key to Speech Level Singing is in understanding the "mix." The mix is what gives women those incredibly high and strong R&B and Gospel notes so necessary in music today. The mix is also what gives men those strong, clear high notes needed for Rock, Pop and Country.

In this informative CD, produced by the Goodrich Vocal studio, you'll hear over 60 vocal examples of correct and incorrect vocal technique as well as learning about Seth Riggs, the originator of Speech Level Singing.

You'll discover the importance of recognizing the "bridges" in the voice- the key to the high notes in both men and women.

"...I am thrilled to have found you and I'm so excited about where my voice is going! My mix is stronger than ever and I know it's because of your technique and exercises. Thank you!!!"
-Sutton Foster 2002 Tony Award Winner, "Thoroughly Modern Millie" (Miliie), Broadway

"...my high mix is clear, strong and completely unstrained. I'm no longer afraid of those D's and E's..." Kennya Ramsey, "Tommy," Acid Queen. "RENT," Broadway

"...my high notes are effortless and consistent for the first time in my career."
-Calvin Grant, "RENT," Broadway.

Learn the vocal technique the professionals count on for longevity, strength and consistency.

An nice appetizer but by no means as good as a real lesson.
The way the CD is described I thought that it would contain real lessons like instructional DVDs that teach you how to play an instrument or the CDs that come with language courses. Instead it only gives you an idea what a teacher at the Goodrich Vocal Studio would do in a real lesson. I think the CD is good as an introduction to the system that these people teach but that is about all. I think the liner notes should point out that the CD can by no means replace real face-to-face lessons.

Overall great vocal technique instruction. Could be organized better.
This CD has great vocal instruction. Ive only been practicing with this CD for a few days and i already feel a difference in my voice function especially in the bridge areas. However, the CD is not practical to listen to over and over. I took notes because the actual vocal excercises were spread all over the place, which is a catch22 because you need the instruction along with the actual excercises. I suggest making a seperate vocal excercise review at the end of the CD including all the methods in a concise easy to practice way. For example: to connect the chest and head ah ah ah ah ah ah etc

Great instruction but i had to tear it apart to make it practicle for use on an everyday basis.
