Album Notes

Welcome to the first issue of Goose Creek Collections, a compilation of our favorite material from the 250+ songs we've recorded over the last two years. Most of these tracks are live recordings, captured at our Goose Creek Live sessions, where bands perform in front of live audiences and we record the shows in multi-track audio and multi-camera video. You can see music videos of those shows, with the hi-fidelity soundtracks you hear on this album, at www.goosecreekmusic.com

There are also selections from two studio albums - Jimmy Gaudreau's acoustic instrumental album "Pieces and Bits", and Patty Reese's performance on the soundtrack to Meg Gardiner's suspense novel "The Liar's Lullaby."

Our choice of musicians includes the genres of Americana, Alternative Rock, Acoustic Pop, Gypsy Jazz, Bluegrass, Roots Rock, Jam Band, Country, and Blues. Although our catalog is diverse, the common threads are an appreciation of the American Songbook, artists with real-time performance chops, and great songwriting.

In all cases, we focus on delivering realistic reproductions of the talent, skill, and emotion projected by gifted musicians from the Mid-Atlantic region. We hope you enjoy listening to the tracks as much as we loved recording them.

Mike Pugh and Stuart Martin, January 2011
