The Gordie Tentrees Band takes you on a driving boogie train fuelled by their own brand of aggressive roots music. Their country-rock-a-billy-folk-blues sound mixed with no-nonsense lyrics, harmonies and multi-instrumentation has taken this popular Yukon act all over the Festival circuit. They have performed over 300 live shows in the past 2 years alone, always mixing up their dynamic, original material on Canadian Festival Stages.
This high-octane act is known for their blistering energy,
mixing raw emotionally charged lyrics with grooves that
embrace the audience. The Gordie Tentrees Band continues to garner attention as the next emerging group to come out of the North. The fall of 2004 brought the release of their much anticipated debut album " 29 Loads of Freight".

GORDIE (BIO)
He is the driving force behind the band, a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His first musical influences were inherited on a family farm in Southern Ontario , passed down from an Arts community
filled with writers, artists and musicians. From his first gig as a boisterous 12 year old break dancer to a career as an amateur boxer, live performance runs hot in his blood.
After seeing his first Fred Eaglesmith concert, he started playing instruments and writing songs. His northern home (Yukon) has nurtured his musical energy and fueled his obsession to perform for an audience. His raw emotion is captured on guitar, dobro and harmonica.
He is influenced by the likes of the Undertakin' Daddies to Big Dave McLean. His songs are filled with humorous touches on life observations, leaving the listener with a rare sense of honest reality. His songs have been played on CBC Radio and Roots Radio stations across Canada, U.S,
Europe, New Zealand, and Australia. His single 'Dawson City' can also be heard on the Yukon Road Documentary The Elvis Project.
