Album Notes

Larry and Tim have been playing music for many years.
Tim and Larry performed together for a few years in a group called Mushroom Jones, before Larry, and later Tim, joined Pure Prairie League and relocated to California. Larry appeared on several albums beginning with Two Lane Highway. The title song was one of Larry's compositions. Larry left after the Just Fly album on which Tim also appeared and wrote the title track. Tim traveled on tours with Pure Prairie League from 1981 until 1986 with the birth of his son Cody he decided to return to Cincinnati.

At this time they formed the first incarnation of The Goshorn Brothers, with several members of Pure Prairie League. Larry and Tim enjoyed performing with a host of excellent players in the years that followed, and their first album was released in the fall of 1994. Featuring perhaps the most dynamic live Goshorn Brothers Band line-up to date, True Stories - Live At Tommy's On Main became an immediate success.

The tragic death of bassist Michael Bany in late 1995 led The Goshorn Brothers to pursue a more limited live schedule. After taking a brief hiatus in early 2000, Larry and Tim began to compile their wealth of new material, and they soon started recording. Their new CD, Life, features current and former members of The Goshorn Brothers, as well as some of Cincinnati's other most talented musicians.
