Album Notes

‚Govinda Express’ is the musical result of a long friendship between Anugraha and Veetkam that was re-ignited with the ‚Singing Buddhas’ first CD production, where Anugraha’s recording and technical skills were highly supportive.

Out of this collaboration the vision was created to give birth to an album that would combine our love for the East with our musical heritage of the West –and the name ‚Govinda Express’ popped up! This train is travelling throught different musical styles and landscapes with the wish to reach your heart.

It was a wonderful creative process, teaching us lessons in patience, commitment, respect and friendship. The heartful contribution of our international musician friends raised it yet to another level and gave wings to our locomotive!

So jump on the train and let yourself be moved – swayed – and rocked!

This song expresses the longing that everyone on this planet
may find his way back home. So that more and more friends gather on this path,

These were the first words I heard while sitting at Osho’s feet.
The deep wish to mold it into a musical context found it’s expression in this song.
One circle is complete and has become whole!
This tune expresses my gratitude for all the love and inspiration received.

This song would like to bring a bit of India’s meditative energy to the wild and extroverted ways of living in Cuba. An expression of the two hearts beating in my global chest!
‚Radha Devi à lo cubano’ passed it’s ultimative test last spring, while visiting the sugar-island. There was no holding back and my friends danced wildly to it and chanted the holy names and not-so-holy verses!

This Tibetan mantra is called the 100-Syllable Purification mantra and will help the meditator clear obstacles in practice, everyday life, and union with Vajrasattva and the divine.
