Album Notes

River is a collection of songs written by Grace Buford. It marks a year long journey of tremendous change. As a songwriter, Grace derives much of her inspiration for music and lyrics from the world around her. Nature is life's greatest canvas, ever changing in its seasons, yet those seasons can be counted on to remain in the same order.
Water is a source of life as well as a destroyer of life. Rivers beautiful and winding full of power which can carve out the grand canyon or change the layout and landscape of entire cities. This is the source of Grace's latest Album, released in August 2007.
A collection of songs about people, their lives, how they feel, and the ever present thirst for change.

Beautiful songstress

Grace has a phenomenal way of telling stories and singing with a soulful, silky sound that draws the listener in. Her approach to folk music is contemporary, yet often hinting of a past not long forgotten. Listen to this CD, but find a live performance soon to get the full expression of her songwriting and the tunes she shares.

Grace has a fantastic voice and the music just keeps getting better. I really enjoyed the richer sound of the new version of Mattie's Runaway Train on this album. It's a great album for lovers of acoustic female folk-rock. Beautiful.
