Grace Stumberg releases debut CD
A graduate of Music is Art’s “Music in Action – career skills training program”, authored by
Robby Takac (Goo Goo Dolls & Music is Art) and NYS certified career development trainer, Bob
James is releasing a full length debut CD on June 7.
Grace Stumberg, 21 and a 4th year student at Villa Maria College’s music business department has
the support of industry veterans in taking the first critical steps in launching a career as a singer,
songwriter and touring musician.
“Grace’s voice and music has been a huge asset to Music is Art,” states Takac. “It’s great to see her
put wheels on her dreams.”
Stumberg’s CD has been in production for 12 months, tapping top engineers and regional
musicians at four local studios, including Takac’s GCR Audio, the home base for the upcoming
new Goo Goo Dolls CD.
“We believe 110% in Grace. She has amazing natural talent plus a genuine work ethic”, states Bob
James who is overseeing production. “She has applied every lesson and more, making quick huge
strides and is poised to follow ani difranco and the Goos in gaining a national audience.”
Stumberg has that rare “it factor” that is essential to getting media attention for a new artist,
posing a triple presence on stage, in schools and on the street. In addition to local shows, she
tours regional high school classrooms as a music workshop presenter and has become the host of
the “tunes4food” music campaign raising over 27,000 meals for the Food Bank of Western New
York since the first, 25 hour free concert at City Hall last June. She got rave reviews in the Albany
press after performing for 400 education leaders in a rally at the state capital last May.

The CD release event is at the Ninth Ward @ BABEVILLE BUFFALO, 341 Delaware at Tupper.
Opening the 7 pm show will be very special guests and well-established WNY women, singer
songwriters Dee Adams, Noa Bursie & Cathy Carfagna Tickets are $13 and that includes a $3
Food Bank donation.
