Album Notes

This download features nine of Graham's own songs together with nine great songs from the English tradition which have inspired his writing.
Playing guitar or English concertina he is accompanied by Gill Redmond on cello and Lucy Roberts on fiddle.
An acclaimed English songwriter and folk performer, Graham's songs such as 'Tom Paine's Bones' and 'Tolpuddle Man', have been enthusiastically adopted by the folk community around the world and recorded by leading British folk performers, including Roy Bailey and Dick Gaughan.
In addition to the title track which celebrates the amazing life of the 18th century English radical Thomas Paine, seven of the tracks are from his folk musical 'Tolpuddle Man' which tells the story of the Tolpuddle Martyrs who were transported to Australia in 1834 for forming an early trade union.

"A superb singer and musician" - Dick Gaughan
Graham Moore manages to convey in a few words and a dramatic tune the strength of Thomas Paine who, two hundred years after his death, remains controversial" - Roy Bailey
