Album Notes

In addition to his own discography \"Graham Shaw and The Sincere Serenaders\" (Capitol Records) and \"Good Manners in the 1980\'s\" (True North Records), Graham has co-written with many great musicians, including Jeff Beck, Bob Ezrin, Bob Halligan Jr., Rik Emmet, Alfie Zappacosta, Alice Cooper, Eddie Schwartz, Dick Wagner, Ron Hynes, Valdy, and a bunch of other songwriters less famous but equally respectable.

Graham has won Canada\'s prestigious Juno Award for his work, and is happy to release \"raw shaw\", a compendium of fine songs written and recorded over a span of 25 years. Just to get it out of his system and into yours.

He has also written many TV soundscores and jingles, mostly for the money; and Theodore Tugboat \'cause it was blessed work. He does like that tugboat.

He is proud and pleased to have produced an album for Jennifer Hanson entitled \"how the night people pray.\" A work worth your consideration, he hopes.

\"Open\", another album of Graham Shaw songs, is in the works.

Entertaining collection of Pop/Blues/Folk music
author: Diane and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Talented singer/songwriter Graham Shaw serves up an entertaining collection of Pop, Blues, and Folk songs on his delightful album “Raw Shaw.” As you listen to this album, you will hear fresh and original music at its best as it is well produced and has a nice dynamic balance. Shaw’s vocals are clean with crisp clarity and at times project edgy, tough attitude as you can hear on the upbeat Bluesy song “Debbie Rae.” The bouncy beat on “Keep Yer Face On Straight” is vibrant and lively and displays a colorful country influence. Showing a softer side, the ballads, “Draw Your Face” and “Once in a While” emits heartfelt lyrics sung with thought provoking tonality. The endlessly enjoyable album, “Raw Shaw” offers a variety of wonderful songs with a beautiful blend of Pop, Blues, and Folk and is an album well worth hearing.

The Best!!!
author: Bob Halligan, Jr
Graham Shaw is the best singer-songwriter you've never heard of, and if you HAVE heard of him, he's in the gang w/ Randy Newman, Joni Mitchell and whomever else you truly love beyond measure. A super-muscular combo of lilting, rich music and bold, real, stylish lyrics. "Drunk Again" makes you glad you got to live on the planet while he was here.

Very hard to find music that both is honest and has professional production values these days but this would be it. More, please.
