Beautiful!
author: Marjorie Millner
KBOO Radio in Portland, Oregon played "In the Shape of a Heart" one morning while I was driving to work. It made me feel like singing for the first time in a long time, and I found myself singing along. (The song itself is quite sad, but the tune is beautiful, and Tracy's voice is so pure, poised, and true, that I found it irresistible.) When the announcer said it was Tracy, I couldn't wait to order this CD (and to get a ticket for her Portland gig a couple of weeks ago, which was wonderful.) Since Dave's untimely death, Tracy has continued to champion his music (tracks 4 & 5 are Dave Carter songs) but she is a wonderful artist in her own right, and this CD is lovely. I was particularly happy to hear her version of "The Waking Hour" by David Francey. Jim Henry also does fine work on the CD, including some really nice harmony vocals.
