Album Notes

Twenty seven year old born and raised San Jose native, Maurice Darnell Sharp AKA Grand Skeme, is an aspiring hip-hop artist whose goal is to secure a distribution or joint venture deal for the Way2Vicious Productions Record Label he represents. He has over ten years of experience in writing lyrics for himself and other artists. His prime motivation is to create music that can be appreciated by all, while exhibiting a wide array of deliveries, styles, and subject matter. He has done it all and can lyrically hold his own in any cipher. The ensemble of songs that have been chosen to represent Grand Skeme's debut album clearly emphasizes that he's not trying to be everything to everyone, but only a mc with unmatched skills. What producer, Francisco Ruiz AKA Versatyle, and Grand Skeme have achieved in the short time they have been together as a duo is a testament to their tireless work ethic both behind the microphone and the boards. As a cohesive unit they have established a unique sound that will undoubtedly keep heads bobbin' from coast to coast.
Grand Skeme is the first artist to be released by the Way2Vicious Productions Label. Artists are people first, and in keeping with the times, he realizes that our music naturally evolves with us. There is a delicate balance to be maintained in order for one to keep his core audience. That said, his years of lyricism from the heart, knowledge as an avid hip-hop consumer, and commitment to perfection in all he does is indeed the formula that will increase both Versatyle's and his success! Please take the time to check out some of his tracks and send feedback.
