Album Notes

Grant Daniels
___

A carpenter by trade and a longtime fan of country music and traditional rock, Grant Daniels has always enjoyed singing, but began performing publicly while touring both the Eastern and Western provinces of Canada in 1995. Crowd support and enthusiasm encouraged "the singing carpenter" to devote more time to his music when he returned home to Southern Ontario. There he began performing in small local venues, at social events and in local singing competitions.

Grant earned Top Male Singer among 80 participants in a radio sponsored singing contest, and went on to earn a spot performing at the prestigious Sound of Music Festival in Burlington, Ontario.

When he's not singing, he's busy restoring and renovating old houses, with recent projects featured on HGTV's HOUSE & HOMES. Grant also enjoys "anything where I can be outside! Fishing, snowmobiling, cross country ATV, golf, baseball, you name it!"

Of his new CD release "Hiding Place", Grant says he had the time of his life working with outstanding musicians Steve Ashley, Mike Altman, Bob Lucier, Wendell Ferguson, Randy Moore and singer Shelley Buffitt, who all lent their exceptional talents to making the CD.

"Hiding Place" offers a mix of new and traditional sounding songs, with its title track leaning on the outside edge of country. "I enjoy country music because it tells a story that everyone can understand, using simple words and melody." says Grant.

And Hiding Place tells a lot of stories, not the least of which the one about someone who saw the road to a dream and followed it.
