The truth is ...
The GrassDawgs really began in 2001 after George had his mid-life crisis and bought a mandolin. He figured that a new mando was a lot cheaper than a red convertible (although, in retrospect, that may not really have been the case) and a lot safer than a new hobby like skydiving or girl-chasin’. It wasn’t long afterward that friends, and friends of friends, as well as the occasional musical straggler, would gather for pizza and beer at a revolving Friday night jam session that’s been going on now for almost ten years. And the next thing ya know, we’ve got this CD! Time flies when you’re having fun. Hope you enjoy the music. We sure had fun making it!
the GrassDawgs are:
daryl burtnett - tenor guitar, vocals
django carranza - drums and percussion
george holt - mandolin, vocals
patrick hornig - fiddle, flute, vocals
shane smith - bass, vocals
geordie wilson - guitar, vocals
recorded live at:
Town Bandstand, Bethlehem, NH – July 7/11/10
Two Sisters Garlic Festival, Canterbury, NH – 9/11/10
Colhoun Farm, Sanbornton, NH – 11/17/10
The Middle NH Arts and Entertainment Center, Franklin, NH – 2/26/11
produced by the GrassDawgs
mixed and mastered at Blackberry Acre Studio - Canterbury, NH

Movin' on up!
author: Margot Gerber
I received this CD as a gift and now I listen to it almost every morning on the way to work! Spiritually uplifting, humorous and energizing to the max! (Walkin' Boss is my favorite.) I will be introducing this CD to my friends around Colorado. Way to go, Grassdawgs! Hope I get to hear you in person one day.

My favorite bluegrass band
author: Scott Gerber
I saw GrassDawgs live about a year and a half ago. I kept checking to see if their CD was finished. I'm delighted to learn that it is. GrassDawgs are great fun live and this CD captures that spirit wonderfully.

Never Stop Lickin
author: Gregg Reed
Put your new disk in cd player and I was thoroughly entertained.
Spiked the Sunday morning mood-o-meter. Great acoustic groove, tasty licks,
musical conversation and over-the-top production quality. It was tight and loose
all at the same time.
