Album Notes
In 2005 my girlfriend died. Laura Netscher was her name. Her nickname was Daisy and she loved daisies, white ones. Her email address was This album is a tribute to her life and it is what I buried myself in following her death, trying to make sense of what had happened. I tried to focus on the light and joy of her life, rather than the sadness and turmoil of her death. I wanted this album to remind me of her personality and our time together when i'm old with a failing memory. Every track has significance, some more literally than others. I feel honored to have known her and this album is my epitaph to a beloved friend who shared a part of this adventure called life with me.

Heard this on KCRW in LA and had to grab the whole thing. I've never been a believer in World Fusion, but there is something special going on here unlike anything else I've heard! Great singing, great musicians, intriguing sounds, and touching lyrics.

This rocks. Some of the best music I have heard in a very long time. Good flavour, wholesome stuff.

A soulful and funky fusion. Richly layered.
I came upon this album by pure chance. The artist doesn't seem to be that well known - yet! I But this is a truly soulful, funky, original blend of sounds, both modern and traditional. Electronic and acoustic instruments and a wide range of voices dance together seamlessly. I love the way it ebbs and flows. It's fast. It's slow. It is never predictable. Richly layered. Highly recommended.

Each song is as unique as the next, truly representing the diversity of music and how it can be enjoyed in so many forms. No two tracks could be placed in the same genre which makes this album an interesting listen when played through in its entirety. A musical journey that is playful and fun in some parts and yet swells with emotion in others. Favorite tracks are "Please, Where Do We Live?", "The Long Since", and "These Things". Hoping to hear more from The Gravy Street in the future.

Sei Que Existe, She Don\'t Bide Me, Lost, Squidgie
World-loungy with a hit of bossa nova....some really great stuff!!!

Enormt variationsrik skiva. Alltid lika intressant att höra en bra filmkompositör göra pop. "So I can breathe", är en av dom få poem-låt-kombinationerna som verkligen fungerar. Perfekt skiva att försvinna bort i för den som har mångsidig smak.

One of my favourites
Awesome...especially if you love cerebral loungy tunes with depth!
