Album Notes

Great Deal of Noise's origins was a meeting of minds between two film students; Cervantes and SnoozeX.

Cervantes has a classical piano background and SnoozeX began with percussion. Both experiment with many different musical instruments.

The convergence of their love for music and attraction to the cinema are evident in their compositions. Their music is a lush, enveloping drama that propels the listener through an auditory screenplay. Heavier influences blend with softer touches to create a three dimensional expressive space.

In 1999 Great Deal of Noise released their first self titled demo to great reviews.

In 2003, GDofN met with female singer, Neony V. They wrote feverishly toward releasing their second album. There was such synergy among the three that many songs were written and few were discarded. Cervantes and SnoozeX craft soundscapes that bring Neony V's lyrical imagery to life.
