Album Notes

In January of 2007 we made the decision to focus on what we all believed God calling us to do, by changing genres a little bit and moving over to Worship! When you are in God’s will things will happen but not without some bumps and bruises along the way. In our faithfulness to follow the call, God delivered as only God can and provided us with many opportunities with churches, festivals, youth events, camps, etc. WOW, go with GOD and the rest is taken care of…..

Meaning and Reason:

The name “The Great Romance” comes from what the band sees as their goal in leading people into worship. The group wants people to experience an intimate relationship with God, better than anything they have ever experienced in life. This includes the best, romantic relationship possible. We are the bride and Christ is the groom. It’s our goal to help people know the greatest romance possible, the one with our savior.

----- The new Worship Album -- “CREATOR”

The guys have written 7 of the 10 tunes and added their mark on to public Domain favorites “Hosanna and Just As I AM” . And then we have added Matt Redman’s tune “You Never Let Go” to round out the 10 song Worship album. We are seeing God use us in mighty ways and providing us with thoughts and feelings to keep those pens to paper turning songs to minister to the lost and misguided world.

Compassion International and The Great Romance are teaming up to help get put an end to poverty. The guys will be representing Compassion by presenting the opportunity to sponsor children.
The guys are excited to extend an arm of ministry from their very own ministry, Chad Carpenter has sponsored a child for several years now and will testify to the blessings and feelings he has experienced through this time. And we all can say now we sponsor our very own child, as it is that important to us. By joining Compassion we join the team of Michael W. Smith, Third Day, and many others all working towards helping Children and needs all across the world.

The Great Romance has opened for many of todays top Christian artists including Audio Adrenaline, By The Tree, Big Daddy Weave, Tait, Kutless, and many others.
Within the last year, they\'ve played most of the larger festivals in the midwest including Ichthus, Rock the Light, and Godstock, going on right before the headliner.
The band is receiving some radio play in the Springfield and St. Louis, MO areas as well as a few other places throughout the midwest.
