ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
High-energy punk music from back in the day when San Francisco had a thriving old-school punk scene. Greed is one of those bands that helped create the "San Francicsco experimental sound" of the early eighties - a blistering rhythm section, pounding drums and a honking sax.

You will find yourself heading directly into the nearest the mosh pit. Recommended for funk/punk fans or anyone who yearns for the old San Fancisco punk sound.
----------------------------
It's 2012 - So, WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

Matt Kowalski is writing an autobiography on his life and the early San Francisco punk music scene. He's also making original paintings in the East Bay and showing at local galleries.

Kimba has created a children's variety show that he writes, directs, and stars in. He also performs with kid rock band The Monkey Butts

Lamar studies drumming with legendary Bay Area drumming instructor Chuck Brown

Symon has moved to Los Angeles and is putting a new lineup together for Symon's New Blue Diamonds.

Jay Enderly

Great music, questionable lyrics...
Really loved the music - crystal clear sound! But the lyrics are kind of questionable. I wouldn't let my daughter go out with any of these guys, that's for sure. See these guys live if you can, they are fun to watch onstage.

Trevel Beshore

Quirky, rockin', anything but typical
This band delivers rockin' tunes with sophistication. Good arranging, musicianship, and quirky (yet catchy) lyrics demand your attention throughout the album. The gritty sax lines blast in and give the electrified riffage a distinct flavor, driving the dynamic arrangements which keep the listener yearning for more. Greed's live stage energy was miraculously captured in the studio and bottled for daily consumption. Enjoy with every meal!

Whitney Wildman

Strange, catchy, wacky, funky punk pop. Did I say strange?
Not for the fainthearted (Mommy Was A Man), but if you have a sense of the unpredictable and can handle the odd ass references, check this cd out. Sort of like listening to Sweet on the brown acid. Strangely addictive.

Wreaky Havoc

Wayne Newton gets low-voice therapy, marries Vegas con artist
---Pro: Sax skronking and guitar pealing perfectly balance each other out. Rhythms sound like 100-foot millipede dancing while wearing 22 orthopedic shoes. Polyrhythm-razzmatazz! Low end you can grind to all night. ---Con: Record over too soon.

Will Lerner

Post-punk mayhem from questionable lads (??) with probably criminal backgrounds
Miss the herky-jerky-ness of the Contortions? Feel that too much contemporary music is tame and formulaic? Well, Greed Inc are here to browbeat your blues with raunchy, sexy sax lines, some funky-ass riddums and aggressive guitar noise. Plus, they don't sing whiny breakup songs or anything that even slightly resembles today's "emo" nonsense. Devilish themes and naughty sensibilities roam free on the band's EP, so let your inner hedonist out and revel in Greed!!

The McCoppin Free Press

These guys put the K in rock!
When you have been in the biz as long as I have been in the biz, you tend to think that no band can turn your head. After listening to their CD, my neck is in a cast for crying out loud. One listen and you will understand why this bands music attracts more attention than a stripper on a merchant marine vessel headed for Southeast Asia.
