Dubbed the "Nickel Creek" of the Northwest, GreenerBlue is a young new bluegrass group that has a unique style that combines elements of swing, classical fiddle, and improvisational imagination to standby favorites of the bluegrass genre.
Blending traditional fiddle music with high-level classical technique, GreenerBlue mixes the old with the new creating a "Newgrass" sound while staying true to their bluegrass roots.
Dena Conzatti, at 23, has worked to perfect her violin/fiddle skills since she was 5 years old. Dena specializes in crafting harmony vocals and hot licks on her fiddle in multiple styles including old time tunes, waltzes, rags, hoedowns and blues. At 18 years of age, Jamie Conzatti is breaking new ground with her super-charged fiddle solos on her-cello! Whether providing the rock-solid bass line, ripping off a sizzling break, or belting out the low harmony vocals, Jamie takes it on, occasionally "picking" up her mandocello or bass for exciting variety. Paula Conzatti, (21) enhances the group with her backup guitar and lead vocals. Exuding energy and drive both on the guitar and onstage, this guitar girl's winning smile will captivate you in a heartbeat. On this, their first album, GreenerBlue was joined by Josh Meals long time friend and banjo picker. Fifteen year old Titus Copper has been playing mandolin for only 3 years, yet he continues to impress everyone he meets with his outstanding improvisational skills! This young prodigy's individualistic style adds a unique sound, making GreenerBlue one of the hottest new groups in the genre.
GreenerBlue has appeared at the Portland Festival of Flowers both in Pioneer Courthouse Square and at Pioneer Square Mall. The group has performed as guest artists on several Oregon Pro Arte Youth Chamber Orchestra concerts and endeavor to enrich the community with performances at the Wilsonville Community Library, Vancouver, WA Relay for Life, Wintergrass open-mic, and often at the Old Liberty Theater open-mic in Ridgefield, WA.
100% of proceeds from all CD sales go to fund our mission trips to Mexico.
