This album is best set apart by its emotive vocals and lyrics, a crunching two guitar/Marshall approach ala Crazy Horse and the relentless rhythm section, most often compared to Bonham/Jones at their finest.

Album Notes

greenhorn is a four-piece rock combo from Columbus Ohio. They started out in the early 90s playing alongside such second-wave punk protobands as the New Bomb Turks, Gaunt and Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments but were treading very different waters. Theirs is a tradition steeped more in classic rock ala Neil Young and Crazy Horse or Led Zeppelin but filtered through the sonics of My Bloody Valentine, Television, Dream Syndicate, the Minutemen and Dinosaur Jr.

Although they have numerous singles and compilation tracks to their credit they released their first full-length, self-titled CD in 2005. They've also recently released a live radio show taped in 1993 on the campus of M.I.T. as a 7 song CD/EP.
