Greenhouse Effect's rockin' songs have been selling CDs across the US, the UK, and as far away as Togo Africa, Australia, Sweden, and Norway. Growing from the fertile minds of Lonnie Richard (guitars/vocals), Bob Bergeron (bass), Michael Martino (drums/percussion), and Brian Harrigan on backing vocals, the band explored the nether regions of rock and psychedelia to produce their new CD, "Smokin’!"

“I'm really happy that people are finding a connection with the songs. We had a lot of fun when we recorded them," says Lonnie Richard. "It was funny sometimes, too. We were listening to the basic tracks to our psychedelic acoustic/bongo song 'All My Love.' All of a sudden Mike jumps up, grabs the wind chimes from the doorway and says ‘I have an idea.’ And I’m thinking ‘Yeah, some chimes at the beginning would be nice.’ And then he played them through the WHOLE song, and it made a big difference in the feel of the tune. 'Bakin' in the Heat' started with just an acoustic guitar and a cowbell, and then we built everything on top of that. The CD grew organically that way. (laughs) No pun intended!”

“We had a great time,” says Mike Martino, “Sometimes it’s like magic when you capture something special during a take, and you're right in that moment. It was like that for us on these songs, and we think it really comes across on the CD.”
