Album Notes

With our third CD entitled "3" Greenleaf Avenue has finally made the kind of mature and epic record we have always wanted to make. It remains consistent with our other CDs in that there are a wide range of styles and moods represented throughout, but the overall sound is thicker with new sonic textures and exhibits a creative freedom using a wide variety of instruments and styles. If the Red Hot Chili Peppers went into a time warp 25 years into the future, it might sound like the first song "Sugar People". If Led Zeppelin had the technology of today, it might sound like our second and third songs "I Know" and "Train Bound". With it's moody and sensual tribal sounds, our fourth song "Rise" ought to be a candidate for the intro of the next James Bond movie. Our fifth song "Puppet" draws the ear in like someone is whispering to you sweet acoustic melodies, and the song after that is a full on pop celebration of life and love. There's even some amazing horn sections, tabla drums, seventies wah guitar licks, and a hint of hypnotic soundtrack style synths and strings. Be sure to check out a little of every song, because everyone seems to find a different favorite track.
