i bought it because i wanted to support greg as i heard there were some issues goin' on. and i support all blues music if i can-and all blues musicians, if i can-and when i heard about a particular personal situation-i had to help. its my nature. BUT-i was very surprised when i HEARD the cd- great vocals!!! wow! great guit slingin goin on...he's got a real good shot IMHO, of makin a name for himself out there-its tough-cause the blues are strugglin right now, BUT-if he's dedicated to his music, his art-he WILL succeed. And i am goin to turn all my friends onto greg's CD. thats what i do-if i hear an "unknown" bluesman-or woman-i let peeps know about them-we've GOT to keep the BLUES ALIVE! keep the old timers playing and teaching the new ones comin up a thing or three; and promote, write about, shout about, sing about, write about the fact that the BLUES AINT GOIN NO WHERE! i've got a tat on my left outter calf thats got a harper on it-and above his head it says"the blues never die". thats the truth, ruth. play on, bro! rock the house, and don't let anyone tell you blues aint music to be heard. its a lie. teach kids about the history of the blues, so they can learn about where , how, why people started singing the blues. it was a release for the slaves, the enslaved, the oppressed peoples, the jailed, the underdogs, and gregs songs all vibrate and carry the message of the bigginings of the early blues. just sit back and lsiten-you'll hear the old Negro chain -gangs songs and spirituals, just gotta make your ears squint like your eyes! peace.out.!
