This Christian rock album stands out, not only for its accomplished production value, but for its use of atypically full guitar tones that yield a rich and optimally realized sound. The songs aren't necessarily "heavy," but they're also not afraid to open it up a bit and provide some really driving choruses that are integral to pop oriented songs like these. Carefully placed slide guitar and keyboards add another level of depth to the songs, echoing the melodies and creating a wall-of-sound effect that really pushes the compositions forward. While the subject matter of the songs is clearly personal, there is a universality to the lyrics that makes the thematic elements easily identifiable  as well as forthright in their spirituality. While many try, this is an artist who clearly takes the music, as well as his faith, seriously. His dedication shines through on these 10 songs.
