Gregg Swann’s latest CD “Everybody’s Got To Be Somewhere” is full of bittersweet pop songs that hearken back to the days when bands kept it simple in the studio: guitars, drums, bass and an occasional piano. The stripped-down approach recalls Tom Petty’s early 90s output or Paul Westerberg before he disappeared into his basement. There are plenty of driving, hook-laden anthems and wistful ballads tinged with hope and regret. But, it’s the clever turns of phrase and Swann’s penchant for dreaming out loud that make a lasting impression on “Everybody”.
Gregg performed at the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame 53rd New Writer’s Showcase and was selected for The Best of The Songwriter's Hall of Fame New Writers compilation CD. He also had 2 music videos featured on ABC's "All My Children".
Gregg was runner-up in the International Songwriting Competition and scored a top 20 spot (#18) on the Gavin Magazine A/C Chart. He also had several songs featured on NBC’s “Homicide: Life on the Street”, ABC and The Lifetime Network.
Gregg has toured solo and with his band in France, the UK and Denmark. He has done numerous radio interviews in the U.S., in connection with his top 20 song on the Gavin Chart
(released on Dalin Records). European releases include the album "Fever Dream" on Bam Balam Records (Spain), the single "On The Outside" on Stick Music (France), as well as a track on "Hit The Hay" a compilation from Sound Asleep Records in Sweden.
