The Web

by Greg Harry

Mostly a collection of rockers, Regret is more of a ballad, and Straight is the Gate is a praise song, I did have a few people through the years say that my Rush, Yes and Pink Floyd influences are there, what a compliment!

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
My first solo cd finished one week before 10 years of being paralyzed, I wrote all drums/bass on computer on 9 tracks
and other computer instruments where noted, Chris Blackwell played guitar where CB is marked, Chris Hereth played guitar
where CH is marked

1. Bread & Circus
CB The Roman Coloseum's modern day equivalent- television!
2. Voice in the Wilderness
CB John the Baptist story, I wrote the dual lead guitar on computer
3. Longing for You
CH A power ballad more about God than a girl
4. Capture the Moment
CH Another power ballad
5. Dysreflexic
CB Instrumental, the name is a dangerous condition for spinal cord injuries, your bladder shuts down, your bp rises and massive headache, good times!
6. The Web
CB The closest I've ever come to sounding like Pink Floyd, thanks to Cem Ozkan's production and Chris Blackwell's guitar
7. Pitch
CB Piano based power ballad
8. Simile Smile
CH I once bought a car from a slick salesman, or was it I voted for a slick politician? Probably both.........
9. Nothing Good about Goodbye
CB Bon Jovi/ Journey style power ballad
10 . Regret
CB The first song I wrote since my paralysis, I wrote the harmonica on computer, in 2004, I started playing harmonica and it will be used on my next
CD on 4 or 5 tracks, stay tuned!
11. Straight is the Gate
CB Praise ballad
12. Time for a Change
This is me playing guitar in my band from 1989, Icebreaker, I did write words & music, there are 2 distinct guitar solos in the middle, the first one is done by Billy Darling and the second one is me, Doug Busbee is the singer (now in a band called Agent Cooper) bass is Paul Standefer, drums- Terry Buell,
that's a DJ from WREK radio at Georgia Tech at the end of the song, we were being interviewed at the station in October, 1989
