You may not have heard of Gregory Alan yet, but the talented young pop/R&B songwriter, producer, and recording artist is poised to take his place among the industry's hottest hit-makers!

The self-contained artist blends pop, R&B and contemporary jazz flavors with lyrical poetry in his debut release, the full-length CD titled "Essential".

Whether melting hearts with the soul-stirring ballads "Happy Ending" and "How Do You Stop?", or turning up the heat with more up-tempo grooves like "I Will Be There" and "Heaven Knows", Gregory cooks up a smooth, romantic, and soulful musical stew.

Born in Yuma Arizona, an army brat, Gregory began recording demos of his original compositions while earning a degree in mechanical engineering at North Carolina A&T State University.

In college, he played guitar, keyboards, and sang as a member of a top 40 R&B band called "Premier".

"The challenge in songwriting," the artist says, "is to vividly capture a mood, sentiment, or emotion with sound.

Much like a painting that combines content, color, and texture, music is art that enters the soul via the ears.

Realizing that music often becomes a part of the subconscious, I spend a lot of time and care crafting meaningful lyrics and evocative tones."

There will always be an audience for a handsome young romantic.
