Songs in the key of Art vol. 1 & 4
author: Cynthia Capodicasa
I recieved these two CDs last week, and just started using them with my art students. I teach both music and art (intermediate level gr. 3-5). My students have never had art before...this is my first year at this scholl, and I am certified in both areas.
I am SO PLEASED with Mr. Percy's efforts. It is a great way to introduce my students to art fundimentals, and a perfect connection with my first semester with them teaching general music. I am currently using the "Red and Yellow Blues" and "Cleanup Anthem". The Blues taught has already reinforced the three colors, and we have moved on to our projects in only one week! The "Cleanup Anthem" will be our signal each day to begin cleanup. When it finishes, they need to be done and start their Art Journal entries as closure. It is so nice to discover another person so connected to both artistic areas. I am going to order vol. 2 & 3 as well. Thank you, Greg!

These songs really stick in your head. My students at Perry Elementary are singing these songs in the shower, on the bus, and especially in art class. We love it! What a great addition to my class.
