notes
Born in Australia, raised in Toronto and New York, briefly a resident in Colorado, Ohio, and North Carolina, Greg Tannen is the son of an amateur jazz pianist and the grandson of a magician.
His music has "won more awards than his website has space to list, such is it's quality" and with one listen, it’s easy to hear why. Besides a flood of wins in international songwriting competitions (John Lennon, UNISONG, USA, ISC), and in festivals (Sierra Songwriters, Telluride, Rocky Mountain Folks), Greg’s music can be heard on national TV, on national radio, and in award-winning films. He has also shared the stage with musical greats such as Rosanne Cash and John Hammond.
His previous two albums, “Roam” and “Coney Island”, were both chosen as one of the "Top 12 Independent Albums" of the year by Performing Songwriter magazine. His sophomore album, "Coney Island", was completed with the help of 3 Grammy winners (co-producer, mixing engineer and mastering engineer).
Greg lives in and works out of NYC, and is a regular at places like the legendary Bitter End and the Living Room. He tours across the U.S. either solo or with his band.

"Greg Tannen is someone worth listening to now and someone we'll all probably be listening to soon" (Performing Songwriter Magazine)

I'm Addicted
author: Mary DempsterGreg Tannen is a unique and intelligent storytelling songwriter. His musical settings always enhance the meaning of his stunningly poetic, metaphor-laden, evocative lyrics. If you are looking for first rate musical craftsmanship, you will find Greg Tannen's CDs thoroughly satisfying. But it's Greg's sweet and dynamic singing that will absolutely knock your socks off.
Awesome. Buy this now.
author: GuyThis is a truly fantastic album. If you love classic intelligent acoustic American music, you'll love this

Addicted to Tannen Music
author: Michele- Dallas TxI played both CD's so much my friends know who Greg is now. Ordering a new Coney CD now since a buddy took mine for his own listening pleasure. This CD ROCKS! Dying for more new music from Tannen.
Amazing songwriting, Killer performance!
author: Beth from Cooldog ConcertsI really, really, really love this CD. There is a great variety of soft, sensitive songs, and really-kick-ass songs. I just noticed that CD-Baby doesn't let you hear the 2 best cuts on the CD - Concrete & Steel, and Train Girl. Get the CD and hear them for yourself!
The Best The Best
author: ManuelI met Greg in a crowded bar in Seville, Spain where he was persuaded by friends to take a guitar and play. Amazing! I had to buy his CDs on the internet and am now a huge fan.
