BIOGRAPHY: GREG WOOD This 22yr. old Edmonton singer- songwriter- guitarist’s calm professional demeanor erupts into confident, dynamic, exciting performances on stage! He grew up at Moose Lake near Bonnyville, hometown of musicians Mike Plume and Clayton Bellamy (The Road Hammers). Greg fell in love with the guitar before the age of two while listening to his Grandfather’s guitar. Greg says there was always a guitar lying around the house so it just seemed natural to pick it up and play. His stage debut was on a grand piano at age six, with his guitar debut following several years later at age 12. He absolutely loved the spotlight and the applause and has been performing ever since. Upon graduating at age 17, Greg left home to begin to pursue his dream career as a professional guitar player. He attended the Red Deer College Music Program, left to work selling guitars for Giovanni in Edmonton, later attended MacEwan College Business Program, and then continued with a sales career. The first half of 2008 Greg spent travelling coast to coast across the United States, from California to Virginia, writing songs along the journey. His recent focus has been songwriting and recording. Greg is eagerly anticipating a return to where he feels most at home – on stage, performing live.
