good debut
not bad of a debut solo effort from the 18 year old coming out of vancouver. He mixes it up with a different variety of beats, some of which are more underground, and the others more upbeat, and radio friendlyish. Tracks 8 and 9 are more fitting for the female listeners, with a more R & B type feel. Being a teenager, you can definitely expect some more 'comical' lyrics, such as describing about driving into a cop car, or crashing against street lights while trying to evade the police. There is a few party tracks on here, one of which (track 11) has a softer type, more mellow beat. On the other hand, Track 12 (Capology) is tale about a long night of drug use and black outs. To its credit, it does have a catchy chorus.
Overall - The CD caters to the general audience and doesn't really limit to one certain kind of crowd.
5 out of 5 maybe generous, but whatever.
