It doesn't get any smokier than this. Real blues brothers Art and Roman Griswold have been playing the blues for over 40 years. Originally from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the brothers landed in Toledo, Ohio in the 1950's. A long stint as house band at the legendary Hines Farm in Delta Ohio brought Art and Roman into daily contact with the then young and rising blues stars of the 50's and 60's - artists like Little Walter Mitchell, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, and B B King.

Their latest effort on the Tout Blue label calls on some of their friends, old and new to keep up the tradition. Veteran bassman Ray Scott and drummer Scott Derkin form the core of the rhythm section behind Art and Roman. Guitarist Dave Kuntz contributes two songs to the CD. The rest of the CD is a mixture of new and old Griswold tunes, all newly recorded and all of them capture the immediacy and energy that the band is known for.
