Album Notes

The art-rock band Grits was active in the DC area from 1970 through 1978. Previous releases from Grits are "As the World Grits", and "Rare Birds", both out of print.

These tracks date from the final years of the band, recorded at DC's premier studio, Track Recorders, instead of using the band's own setup. Mostly straight songs, the final cut is a longer work with three main sections.

All cuts are vocal, with the band's bass player, Amy Taylor, singing on all but the title cut, sung by drummer Bob Sims. Rick Barse composed all the songs and played keyboards. He, Bob, and Tom Wright on guitar, added background vocals.
