With a mix of pop, rock and funk that's difficult to define but impossible to resist, Nashville-based band Groove Addiction has built a large and growing regional following on the heels of their critically-acclaimed 2002 debut CD "For All Intent and Purposes." The buzz about the band continues to grow due to their dynamic, electrifying live performances, and they're poised to burst onto the national scene with the release of their long-awaited 2nd indie CD, "Temporal Bliss."
Voted "Best Up and Coming Local Band" by the readers of the Nashville Scene, Groove Addiction is proof that there's more going on in Nashville than country music. With members hailing from all across the USA (Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, St Louis and Louisville), Groove Addiction's music is a blend of various influences and styles that sound reminiscent of other artists, yet is still innovative and fresh. In today's pop music scene, real music played and written by real musicians has become far too uncommon. With "Temporal Bliss," Groove Addiction aims to be at the forefront of a much needed movement to restore real instruments, musicianship and meaningful lyrics to pop music.

"This mutifaceted local band sounds as though it were derived from Prince, Steely Dan and the New Radicals. Their songs are slick, smooth and danceable with biting, socially aware lyrics and an appealing guitar sound..."
- Critics Picks, The Nashville Scene
"What happens when you get five musicians from all over the country, add four parts pop, two parts funk, a dash of rock, and soak them to the point of saturation in soul? You get Groove Addiction. Groove Addiction is fast becoming a group to be reckoned with."

"...the Groove Addiction release titled "Temporal Bliss" surprised and pleased me very much. I never would imagine there's more than Country or Christian Pop/Rock coming out of Nashville. This fine five-piece combo of musicians sure knows how to impress. If you are (still) keen on Steely Dan, Toto and Hall & Oates you definetly should check out this material at grooveaddiction.net. I can assure you'll be surprised and glad to know there are still bands with a bright future like these guys."
- Melodic.net
"...The songs are straightforward, easy to listen to and well-crafted. Their music is body music; it gets you up and moving...It's the kind of thing that hits the airwaves and stays there for eons...There are bits and pieces of so many different artists, yet the band still comes out with a distinctive sound...From the somewhat edgy "Identity" to the fairly middle-of-the-road soul "29 Days", the songs of Temporal Bliss have one indisputable quality: They stay in your head."

Their first CD For All Intents & Purposes was with it, but this one is tight. The writing is better and the melodies absorbing and gratifying, expecially on Cliche, 29 Days and Senseless Heart. It's got variety and heavy on entertainment. This band's on the move...groove with it.

This band knows how to put the stank on it!

I bought this CD because I enjoyed the last one. I excpected about the same, but what I got was one hard kick in the rump from one slick foot. This is an excelent CD! From the sweet vocals to the sealed tight grooves, I don't imagine we will be seeing these guys playing around local venues for much longer. I suggest the purchase of Temporal Bliss from the bottom of my funk stained soul.
