Album Notes
The band featuring Manny & Ronnie Sanchez and Sarven Manguiat are professional, hard working and easy going. Performing their original songs as well as putting their own twist on many treasured classics . The music is what the fellas call groovin, movin music! Each session is narrated with positive intent, compassion and humor. It is a new sound for today's youthful music scene and an appreciated approach to yesterdays music masters. Experience their strong understanding and connection with each performance being played as if it could be the last. The group has opened for or played with The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Greg Adams, Tea Leaf Green, Jeff Pevar, The Radiators, Stanton Moore, Robert Walter, The Young Dubliners, Evan Stone, Delta Nove, Lubriphonic and Blue Turtle Seduction. Call them a jam band or a band that jams! SXSW music conference 2009 in Austin TX found the trio sharing the stage and night with the critically acclaimed Playing for Change, Band of Brotherz and Big Sam's Funky Nation. SXSW 2010 busied the group throughout Austin backing Wahnder Lust featuring Kim Manning of P-Funk and Lantz Lazwell, playing original sets and performing their renegade set on the street using a generator. GrooveSession is an experience worth taking, "The Flying Burrito" is available NOW! Coming late 2010 will be the release of 2 NEW CD's, Memoirs of NIWA and The GROOVESESSION Album. Awesome Stuff
I've had the chance to view these guys play a couple of different times now, each time better than the last. From their original tunes(Change of Pace, Ted Dancin') to their awesome twists on legends like Sublime, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, Beatles and Mo-Town classics, these guys rock their heats out on stage. Often times they will play for 2.5-3hours without a break! Thats some old school stuff. I would take any chance you get to check out these guys live so you can say you saw them before they went big!!
