Hot Sauce Records and founder ellee ven are proud to release the first collection of songs to truly capture the genre Groovetonics. Groovetonics Volume I, a compilation CD featuring original music from new and emerging independent artists from around the world showcases an exciting range of styles and will be released worldwide September 4, 2007.
With rock to reggae, Latin to pop& Hip Hop, Groovetonics Volume 1 is to ellee ven, the ultimate concert. "I've long described my music as groovetonics. I like a little bit of this and that and find it more musically enjoyable to listen to different kinds of music in a single session. We really wanted to find the bands that would help define the concept and since we can't see all of these independents live, we thought a compilation series would be the next best thing!?
ellee ven is joined by Switzerland's wonderband Anshelle, who opens the compilation with the featured single "Stereophonic Girlfriends". Also featured on the compilation are: Prodéje, Funk band Heavy Weather, reggae group Pie Boys Flat, Toy Gun Cowboy, Neal Gomberg, and pop rock sensation Karisa Winett (who just opened for The Wreckers). Hilarious hip hop group White or Wheat out of Minnesota, rock it American style, as do rapper MavLo, electronic virtual band Dress Code and contemporary Christian band Ardent Zeal.
Other international flavors include catchy pop group The Smiling Strangers from the United Kingdom, solo Latin artist Melany Moloney from Columbia, and powerful rock band strëam from Portugal.
Hot Sauce Records has managed to create a signature style by bringing together a variety of influences. The songs selected for our 1st compilation are varied in range and are from around the world, but they have a unifying quality in that they all make you move and they all lift your mood!
