This Cardiff, UK Jump-Jive band rock from top to bottom. This CD of classics are executed with great feel and fun. They have also managed to put their own stamp on these timeless songs. The musicianship on this CD is exemplary with each member not overplaying. Hats off to Dave Dernley for a great job with production as well as wonderful guitar playing. Good job boys and girl! I can't wait for the next one.

"Delightful, Laid Back, Easy-Going Boogie Style Rock n Roll"

Significantly The Duck and dive five quote Big Joe Turner, Smiley Lewis and Geriant Watkins as major influences - and it shows! Their music is delightful, laid back, easy-going boogie style rock n roll.Geraint Watkins' "Deep in the heart of Texas" and for that matter "Nobody" couldn't have been better chosen. The irresistible foot tapping "Boom Bapa Boom" is another perfect choice, and so good that it makes you want to look for the original by Jimmy Vaughan. Other numbers which the band bend easily into their style are "Flip Flop and Fly", "All Shook Up" "You Never Can Tell" and of Course "Boogie Woogie Country Girl" - another natural choice. Griff Steel has a suggestively dissolute voice rather like that of Tom Waits whose "Jockey Full Of Bourbon" adds spice to a very enjoyable CD. Chris Woodford.
