Album Notes

GT harks from Manchester's urban outskirts, but colours his music with alternative experience behind the iron curtain, down under, and above the clouds. GT recorded the material for Live It All, then recruited Alan Gregson's production facilities at West Orange Studio, Preston. Here Decca notaries, Russel Watson, and Rick Guard polished their pearlers, and Corner Shop tinkered with their tackle, and even Badly Drawn Boy sketched out some early stuff. Meanwhile playing gigs across the NW from the Limelight Club in Crewe to Chicago Rock Café in Lancaster, supported by appearances on Radio Merseyside, Radio Lancashire, GMR, and Bay FM, picked up some excellent reviews. Around Halloween a video for the Winning Your Heart track was shot on site in Delamere and Rivington, featuring pointy hats and long noses (Now feauring on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8qHH6jvck4 ) .19 tracks were completed by Christmas, on the strength of this an extended holiday was taken in Australia's heat. On return in March, further recording, inspired by Bush Fires and a new keyboard, expensively brought back on excess baggage. From 24 tracks, the directors cut of 14 make 'Live It All' of varied style, tempo and content, but consistent greatness. Some tracks are melodic marvels, some have punky particulars, others feel beholden to Bach.
