Album Notes

I am a saloon singer. You can find us on Friday night "in the corner, under the TV, behind the pool table, next to the juke box". Countless failed attempts to document the saloon singer in the tumult of his natural environment spawned the idea to recreate it in a state-of-the-art recording studio. Remove the hockey game, cash resisters, the breaking glass, and the people who applaud breaking glass. Call a few good friends; throw in some excellent wine, a case of Beck's Dark, a cheesecake, toss in a few cannoli's and an extremely pregnant couple from Brooklyn and we were able to create

Live at the City Lights Saloon
author: john skadden
Heard portions of "Don't Let Us Get Sick" during Showtime's Californcation and immediately headed for the web site to find out who this was. What a great find. Thanks to Pat for some awesome versions of all these songs. Thanks to Showtime because I'm sure I'd never have heard this if not for them.

Fantastic interpretation of songs, Pat just OWNS them!
author: Jack McHugh
Pat Guadagno does a remarkable interpretation of these tracks. To listen to them, it is hard to believe he did not write them, he simply grabs each one and OWNS it. That talent coupled with a percussive guitar style that takes you at the first chord and does not let you go makes this a rare gem. If Guadagno's stated goal was to "capture the saloon singer in his own element", he does that and then some!

We love It! Great CD for our road trips!!
author: mefly
We love this CD! We saw the artist at a happy hour in North Conway and thought he was great-bought the CD-put in our jeep CD player-and what a blast!! Now we listen to it all the time. He sounds like an entire band. We love the whole CD, but his renditions of Ol'55, When Rita Leaves(better than the original), and All I Needed Was You are the best. The man can sing! The fun songs are a blast, the serious songs are sung with such feeling. We recommend this CD to all our friends. Can't wait for the next one-and I like saloons!

Absolutely brilliant
author: Lynda Brown, France
I saw Pat at the Light of Day show in New Jersey in November and thought he was brilliant. When I returned home to France I immediately bought the CD through CD Baby (excellent service). Pat made up for Bruce Springsteen not attending the LOD show, although I did see him twice in Philladelphia that same week. For me 'All I Needed Was You' is my favourite track - it is brilliant. Thanks Pat and LOD for introducing me to some great Jersey Shore artists.
