Album Notes
in the late 60's and early 70's,this was a very busy time for vince guaraldi,he had many irons in the fire with the kinds of jazz he was for sure vince loved kids, just the idea of working with kids put his craft at a different level than his normal jazz club gigs,he came to this place when in 1962 a man named lee mendelson contacted vince to compose the score for soon to be aired charlie brown tv special, this set him off, and he through all his energy into the first of many projects, right about 1968 he got involved with a person named madi bacon who was the conducter for the san francisco boys chorus a very well respected group of young men, vince was taken so much by this group that he deceided to produce this album with out the backing of any major lable, and were this album really never went on to be a hit like other guaraldi albums, it rose to a kind of cult status as there was just a small number pressed.
