The Guidance Tale

In the year 2000, an Israeli band named Guidance was founded by three school buddies, Dori Chee (Lead Vocals), Ofir Abe (Drums), and Sefi Brown (Bass Guitar).
After serving in the army for three years, the group packed their bags and traveled to Vancouver Canada, where they were exposed to various genres and bands. While in Canada, Guidance tied relationships with other bands and played showcases at clubs and universities and received very positive feedback from the crowd.
Canada inspired Guidance to write the first three songs, which signified the birth of a focused style, and professionalism. Guidance are influenced by bands like Tool, Stained, Pearl Jam and Incubus. All songs are written in English.
Guidance returned to Israel as a new and improved band, motivated to succeed. After running auditions two heavyweight guitar players Gev Decktor (lead guitars and backing vocals) and Didi "O" (rhythm guitars and backing vocals), joined Guidance, forming a 5-piece band.
Guidance released their first, fully self-produced album (original artwork as well) labeled "Trust", at September 19th 2002. The album is distributed at all major stores across Israel, and a several hundred copies have already been sold.
Guidance play major clubs in Israel with a full showcase, packing up the clubs to the maximum quota of people allowed entering.
Guidance was invited by radio stations such as 102FM (a national radio station), 106FM (the Israeli university and college broadcast institute) and Radi-Yo (one of the biggest on-line radios in Israel) to attend a "Guidance Special". Each show was a success causing Guidance to be aired on a regular basis on various radio shows.
Guidance are growing rapidly due to hard work and professionalism, as one of the biggest Israeli on-line music magazine, "Ambrosia" (www.ambrosia.tv ), writes: "With no doubt, Guidance are the hottest name on the Israeli Hard-Rock stage... Guidance were born to be on stage and the crowd knows it, proven by the success of their new album Trust..."
together with that Guidance has won The Best Rock Group award and Best Rock Song by that magazine in a special awards night event.
Guidance will continue to grow and work hard towards fulfilling the dream of worldwide acknowledgment, which is only getting closer ...
