Album Notes

Guido's Hand is a bold and exciting band at the vanguard of rock's latest direction. Its members, brothers Gabe Monticello - (bass, vocals), Joe Monticello - (guitar, vocals), and Sam Owens - (drums, vocals) bring to the stage an unprecedented fusion of the artistic with the accessible.

While the band is based in Atlanta GA, the members have each received music training from Valdosta State University. In addition, bassist Gabe Monticello earned a Masters of Music degree from the University of Florida and drummer Sam Owens is pursuing a Masters of Music from Georgia State University. While these credentials assure that the band has the technical skills to call themselves Prog-Rock, Guido's Hand also performs with a passion and energy few can match, uniting the spirit of musical adventure from the great progressive rock and jazz-fusion bands of the 1970's with the grit and savvy of today's remnants of grunge. The result is explosive, at times-surreal, and always mesmerizing. Their music continuously surprises its listener, and then promptly convinces him that no conventions of rock have been violated.
